Use and Care

How to Use Your CrystalWave PLUS Containers

The lid is designed to fit tightly to help prevent spills, so run the lid under warm water before first use. This will make the initial sealing easier.

To seal, place the lid on the container and press firmly around the entire rim until fully sealed.

Microwave Reheating

• Click steam valve to “open” position for reheating by pressing the widest part of the valve before microwaving the sealed container
• Microwave at MAX 650W, or approximately 50% power
• If heating for more than 2 minutes, stop and stir for even heating
• Replace the lid, then continue reheating in 1-minute intervals as needed

After Heating

• Carefully remove the container from microwave and let it rest on the countertop for a few minutes so heat distributes evenly
• Always remove the lid away from you, ensuring the steam is not directed toward you

Important Safety Tips

• Fill the container no higher than 2 cm (3/4″) below the rim
• Always place the container at least 5 cm / 2 inches away from microwave walls and door
• Reduce power to 50% to prevent overheating which can damage the container
• Avoid overheating small portions or foods high in fat or sugar (such as gravy, syrups, bacon, or bone-in meats)
• Check foods like gravy, syrups, bacon, or bone-in meats every 30 seconds after the first minute to prevent overheating
• Overheating can cause food temperatures to exceed 248°F (120°C) and may damage the container
• When filled with food, always transport with closed valve and in an upright position.
• Do not transport hot food in your container because steam can affect the seal.
