Use and Care

How to Use Your Tupperware® Garlic Press

To Break Garlic Skin (Peeling Step):

• Place one unpeeled garlic clove into the shallow grid chamber of the lower handle.
• Gently push down on the upper handle.
• The metal handle of the grid will break the skin of the garlic clove.
• Rotate garlic clove and repeat if necessary
• Remove and discard the loosened garlic clove skin

To Press Peeled Garlic:

• Place the peeled garlic into the metal grid chamber of the lower handle. (For best results, arrange thickest side of garlic towards the herb deleaver holes.)
• Close and press handles together to crush the garlic.
• Scrape crushed garlic from the grid using the back of a knife.

To Deleaf Herbs:

• Push the metal grid back so it touches the upper handle.
• Select the hole that best fits your herb stem.
• Push the end of the stem through the hole from the inside of the lower handle.
• Then pull the end of the stem from the other side of the lower handle.

Care & Cleaning:

• Open the flip grid
• Remove garlic peels with the back of a knife
• Rinse after each use to prevent garlic residue from drying in the grid.
• Place the garlic press in the open position on the top rack of the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
• To wash by hand, use mild dishwashing soap and a soft cloth or sponge.
• Dry thoroughly before storing.

Storing:

• Design allows you to store the garlic press in most kitchen drawers or place it on the flat metal grid to store it upright on your countertop.
